I have seen many HGVs using the high street, despite the road being restricted to vehicles weighing less than 7.5 tonnes. They are mainly 'B D Haulage' and 'Donoghue' vehicles. They seem to be travelling west to east, carrying rocks or stone type material. They then also travel east to west, empty. I can only assume they are heading towards Astwick Quarry, or for some other building project (maybe HS2?) - but nevertheless there are signs on the corner of the B4100/B4031 giving the weight restriction and 'no access to Astwick Quarry' via Croughton, and they should not be using this route.
